Bedside Reading: The Great Gatsby

Posted June 30, 2012 in Books / 5 Comments

I have so many books on my shelf that I haven’t read and I’d like to make my way through those so I’m starting bedside reading. I’ll slowly make my way through books by reading a little of them every night before I go to sleep. I’m starting with The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I’ve read this one before, in high school, but I think I might enjoy it more now so I’m trying again.

Hi there! I'm Laura Ashlee. I'm a 28-year-old fangirl of most things nerdy. I love books, comics, music, technology, and a host of other things. I write about a lot of those things on this blog. I also have the best job in the world: high school librarian. If you don't have a job where you get to hang out with teenagers all day, what are you doing with your life? All I know is that your not doing something right. Teenagers are cool... most of the time.

  1. This is a great idea. I am about to read a chunkster of a book, so maybe I will keep another by my bed and read that in the evening. I was sort of wondering how I would keep up with the other books that I want to read while I take on this bigger book.
I am planning to read The Great Gatsby again in the fall. I want to read it again before the new movie comes out.

  2. Enjoy your bedtime story. I definitely want to read this book someday. Having heard the movie was coming, I think I should get to it soon.

  3. Great idea! That’s a fun way to get through your list. =D Hope you have a lot of fun with it and that this is helpful. I haven’t read The Great Gasby, you’ll have to let me know what you think of it. =D I’ve heard mixed reviews on it, it all depends on how people like classics I guess.
