After the last volume, which may have been coolest one in the entire series, I had to keep going. Luckily, this one keeps the same story going. The Professor returns saying he felt uneasy and trying to figure out what had happened to find Sebastian alive, safe and sound. Sebastian proceeds to explain how he set everything up. It looks like Ciel has an enemy in the queen’s butler. I’m sure that will somehow come into play in later volumes.

The new plot gets started with Sebastian and Ciel discovering Snake (who appeared in the previous volumes about the circus children) and hiring him as Ciel’s footman. I’m excited about Snake joining the Phantomhive household. I’m hoping he’ll have some development and stick around. There’ve been some news reports about a hospital that can bring people back from the dead. It’s somehow tied to slavery and human experimentation, but they’re not sure how. This one promises another interesting mystery and adventure for Ciel and Sebastian and a new character. He won’t be completely introduced until the next volume, but I’m excited about it. Plus, there are zombies!
