What I’m Reading [18]

It’s been quite a couple of weeks. I’ve been working on end-of-the-year things at school and I have a few more days of full-time work. Next week, I’ll start going into work twice a week to get some uninterrupted and much-needed work done in the library. I was in a wedding this weekend and saw so many out-of-town friends. It was so great. It was pretty much three straight days of being with people so the introvert in me needed a little recovery time tonight to recharge before heading into the last week of school for the year.

New Books

I’m on a book-buying ban but I do have some audible credits so I grabbed a couple of things today to curb the urge to buy books.

The Awkward Thoughts of W. Kamau Bell
Tranny by Laura Jane Grace

What I Read

I finished two books! It’s so nice to feel a little progress again. Born a Crime was pretty awesome so I finished it quickly. Get Your Sh*t Together has been fun, but I liked Sarah Knight’s first book better.

What I’m Reading

I’m sort of in between books right now since I had a busy weekend.

What’s Next

I’m finally going to have time to sit down and read books! That means I can finally get into Goodbye Days. I’m also going to read the summer reading selections that I haven’t read yet, so I’m going to start with the audio of When Breath Become Air.

On the Blog

I make no promises for more blog posts this week. Once I leave work on Friday, I’ll finally be free to get myself fully into a reading and blog head space for awhile. We have some home improvement plans for this summer, but I won’t have so much going on with work so I’m hoping I can get back into the reading and blogging game.

What I’m Reading is a mashup post I write to participate in three existing book blog memes. It’s just a little easier for me to write one wrap up each week than to split them into three different posts. I guess I’m being a bit lazy. It’s Monday! What are You Reading? is hosted by Book Date and is a blog meme about reviewing what you’ve read and what you plan to read. It also allows bloggers to visit each other and bond of our love of reading. Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tyga’s Reviews is a blog meme for sharing all the books you’ve added to your shelves, including book mail, new purchases, review copies, and library hauls.
