It’s been such a relaxing week. I did have a couple of days of work, reshelving my 700s and attending a district library planning meeting. In order to be ready for the beginning of the school year, I’m going to have to work a bit more during the week for the rest of the month. I’m going to try to get in at least an hour of work when I’m at home and I’ll continue going into work two days a week to get the reorganization done. The rest of the week was all cookouts, hanging out with friends, and watching a ton of TV. I really wanted to give myself one last totally relaxing weekend and it was so nice.
I actually have some new books to talk about this week! I couldn’t pass up owning my own copy of A Gentleman’s Guide. I bought it at the bookstore with Jennifer the other day and immediately gave it to her as assigned reading. I had pre-ordered The Ruin of a Rake after reading the first two in the series so that was auto-delivered to my Kindle app. I also bought Tempted by Megan Hart as some of my romance reading for my summer of series. I read and loved the second book in the series, so I’m interested to read a little about Alex’s past.
I downloaded a few review copies on Edelweiss. I’m very excited to read I Am Alfonso Jones, Jaya and Rasa, and Daring Democracy.
Finally, I have some library audiobooks for my work in the library and for the gym. The Wrath and the Dawn was one of the more popular books on our summer reading list so I’m excited to listen to it. I was also super excited to get my hold in for Evil at Heart. I’ll definitely be hitting the gym for my Archie and Gretchen fix.
What I Read
Cat Sebastian is officially an auto-buy.
What I’m Reading
I can’t seem to get myself to the hook of Ramona Blue. Maybe I need to try it again later. I’m not sure. I’m going to see where it goes this week. I am very excited about my audiobooks though. I haven’t gotten far enough into Tempted to tell if it’s going to pull me in yet.
Since I’ve just started three books at the same time, I’m only really thinking about what print book I’m going to read next. I might start City of Ashes this week whether I finish Ramona Blue or not. I’m pretty eager to start working through my series books and I need to reread some of these before I can read the last two in the series.

What I’m Reading is a post I put together that’s all about motivating me to keep reading and updating my blog. I love doing both, but I sometimes let life get in the way. I just needed a little weekly reminder to do things for myself, like reading and blogging. It’s inspired by It’s Monday! What are You Reading? is hosted by Book Date and Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tyga’s Reviews so I sometimes link up on those posts to start conversation with other bloggers.
